“★★★★ Jaw-dropping” (Fest Mag)
Go on a journey around the world with high stakes players both on and off the chessboard.
Flown to Singapore at the behest of a mysterious investor to grow an ambitious chess start-up, comedian and “a master storyteller” Kevin James Doyle finds himself teaching chess to some of the world’s wealthiest individuals. The tension is rising as he finds a bigger game is afoot. Featured at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and landing Off-Broadway at Soho Playhouse in 2025.
“What begins as a comedic chess masterclass then gives way to one of the wildest stories at this year's Fringe, as he's whisked off to chess-hustle with billionaires. Bonkers.” —British Comedy Guide Editor’s Choice

Win at Chess, Win at Life
I have been teaching chess in New York City since 2011. Eleven years later, I was sent to Singapore to teach chess for some of the wealthiest people in the world. It was by far the wildest story I have ever lived.
In every show I have written, I usually have an incredible story about something that happened to me, so I know that will typically be the climactic moment for the show and work back from there. So I used all the chess knowledge I have amassed over the past decade and went to work on a new show about chess and life that became “After Endgame.”
